My Experience

By Priya Prakash

Growing up as a first-generation Australian Indo-Fijian, I always felt like I never belonged and felt out of place. I felt as if no-one could understand me and the day-to-day challenges that I was facing, while being brought up in a migrant household.

Having a diverse group of individuals at Youth4Youth, who can offer different insights and perspectives, is something I wish I had seen while growing up.

I'm so glad to be supporting the youth from all different background's and helping them navigate life's challenges and difficulties. By reassuring them that they are not alone, we hear them and validate their emotions. I'm very grateful to be apart of this wonderful initiative.

Let's Talk!

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which we work, learn and live, and we pay our respects to Indigenous Elders past, present, and emerging.

Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
